National Gas-To-Power Initiative in South Africa
Delphos was selected by USTDA as a prime contractor to provide project preparation advisory services to support the Government of South Africa’s plans to develop its natural gas sector. The key objective of the engagement is to support the Gas-to-Power Program, which will involve procurement of more than 3 GW of gas-fired power from independent power producers, and to facilitate the participation of U.S. companies in South Africa’s natural gas sector. Delphos and its multidisciplinary team of technical, legal, environmental and regulatory experts will be responsible for identifying and evaluating opportunities to support U.S. participation in gas-to-power projects in South Africa, developing detailed scopes of work for two technical assistance activities based on the identified opportunities, and conducting these two technical assistance engagements based on the developed scopes of work.
