Utility-Scale PV Solar Power Plant in Morocco
Delphos served as a member of a USTDA-backed team of financial, technical, regulatory/legal, and environmental experts retained by the National Agency for the Development of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (“ADEREE”) to assess the feasibility of a 5 MW PV solar power plant in Essaouira, Morocco. The project is expected to showcase the applicability of PV solar technology on a utility scale and to serve as a model for duplication throughout Morocco in similar sized cities with limited grid access. Delphos performed financial analysis on the project including determining any necessary tax and other incentives. Specifically, Delphos prepared detailed cost estimates; determined required tariff; and prepared a financial forecast.
