Feasibility Study of a 900 MW Pumped Storage Hydropower Plant in Thailand
Leading a Feasibility Study for EGAT of the 900 MW Vajiralongkorn Dam Pumped Storage Hydropower Plant
Delphos secured a tender to lead the comprehensive feasibility study for the 900 MW Vajiralongkorn Dam Pumped Storage Hydropower Plant. This strategic project is vital for achieving Thailand’s ambitious carbon reduction goals. EGAT, Thailand’s state-owned utility, projects a need for 5,600 MWh of storage by 2035 and 28,000 MWh by 2040. The study will evaluate hydraulic, geotechnical, and geological factors, optimizing the plant’s design for future energy storage capacity and economic efficiency.
