Delphos proudly announces its commitment to the Women in the Sustainable Economy (WISE) Initiative, a groundbreaking public-private partnership spearheaded by Vice President Kamala Harris. With a total commitment of over $900 million from various stakeholders, WISE aims to empower women globally in critical sectors such as clean energy, fisheries, and environmental conservation, commonly known as the “blue” and “green” sectors. As part of the aligned efforts by the private sector, Delphos pledges to mobilize $25 million through 2028 to support women smallholder farmers and entrepreneurs to advance sustainable environmental solutions in agriculture, energy, and other green sectors.
Our efforts will align with the three pillars of the WISE initiative. These pillars center on promoting well-paying jobs for women, supporting women-owned businesses, and eliminating barriers to women’s economic participation in the blue and green sectors. Ambassador Roya Rahmani, Chair of Delphos International, leads these efforts, leveraging Delphos’ expertise in financial mobilization to ensure that women-led initiatives receive the necessary resources to thrive. By channeling funds towards impactful projects, Delphos strives to make a lasting impact on women’s economic security, environmental sustainability, and resilience in the face of global challenges. We look forward to engaging in meaningful collaboration to create a sustainable and thriving future for all.
